Frequently Asked Questions About Cube Docks
Dock Product Questions
What colors do the dock cubes come in?
The standard colors of our cubes come in light grey and beige. These colors were selected as our standard dock product line because they reflect UV light instead of absorbing it, allowing you to walk on our docks without burning your feet. However, other colors are available by special request.
Is the surface of the dock slippery?
No. Our dock cubes are designed with an anti-slip surface on the top that provides additional grip and traction.
Can I build and install my Cube Dock myself?
Yes, most standard dock builds are very simple to assemble and install. When you purchase your dock from us, we provide you with the necessary information to install the dock yourself. We also offer dock building and installation services for your convenience.
If you choose to build your floating dock yourself, you will need to provide a picture as soon as the installation is finished in order to activate your warranty. If you cannot confirm the installation meets all requirements needed and requested by our manufacturer, Candock, the warranty will not be applied.

Other products do not offer a 20 year warranty because they can't withstand the elements. Our products are made of high-density polyethylene plastic that cut down on maintenance and repair costs. They are also easier to assemble and install so you will save money on building the dock itself.
What is the warranty on the products?

Can the docks be moved around on the water?
Yes. If you want to move our docks they are designed to float and can be moved around on the water as a full dock or in sections. Some people even choose to tow their dock to a different location by using a small boat as the video below demonstrates. We also offer numerous anchoring accessories to ensure your dock won't move if you want it fixed to a single location.
Can my floating dock extend on the land and sit on the ground as well as the water?
Our docks are extremely durable and can support a heavy load, even on the ground. Just make sure you clear the area from any sharp objects where your dock touches the ground.
Weather Condition Questions
Is it possible to leave the dock in the water during the winter months?
This is a problem that has plagued dock owners for years. Cube Docks was actually founded after the founders had to repair and eventually replace their docks from weather and winter ice. With Cube Docks, it is possible to leave your dock in the water during the winter as long as there is no ice movement. If you do experience ice movement, it is recommended that you remove your dock for the winter. Cube Docks is easier to disassemble and reinstall than a traditional dock products that can't easily be removed.
What kind of waves can the docks withstand?
As with all other types of floating docks, a protected area where waves are smaller than 3 feet is recommended. We have however frequently witnessed our system withstand extreme weather and tidal wave conditions. As the video below demonstrates, we have tested our docks in real life weather conditions and in our test facility. Our modular system is made of small size cubes, allowing it to move easily with the waves, instead of resisting them. If you would like to install our products in areas with larger than 3 foot waves, please contact us to see how the warranty applies in those cases.
What kind of wind conditions can the docks withstand?
Our docks have been built and tested to stand up against strong storms and winds of near tornadic levels. The video below shows an indoor test using 60 miles per hour winds. Even with these powerful winds and 3-4 foot waves, the dock easily remains afloat and can be walked on due to our anti-slip surface.
Does the sun affect the products?
Our products are UV-resistant and the sun will not affect its properties in any way. The light colors of our dock also reflect the sun, allowing you to have a surface that won't heat up and burn your feet.
JetSlide Questions
What is the advantage of the JetSlide vs. a boat lift or hoist?
Just like a boat lift or hoist, our JetSlide system provides a method to raise your boat out of the water so it isn't exposed to the water. The JetSlide is assembled with no moving parts that can be damaged or require maintenance over time. The JetSlide also provides a way to park your boat directly on the dock without extra structures blocking your view of the water. The foam filled interior makes the JetSlide very resistant and will keep your boat or other personal watercrafts out of the water under the worst weather conditions.
Could the JetSlide drive on dock cause damage to the hull of my boat?
No, the JetSlide is made of a more flexible plastic than the hull of your boat. The JetSlide is designed with a smooth V-shaped plastic surface that will eliminate most of the friction.
Is it normal to see small scratches appear at the entrance point of the Jetslide?
Yes. Depending how smooth the bottom of your boat, jet ski, Sea Doo, or other personal watercrafts are, you may develop small scratches on your JetSlide system. These scratches won't affect the performance or functionality of the JetSlide product.
What is the air assist accessory for the JetSlide dry dock system?
The air assist is used for heavier watercrafts that want to park their boat on the JetSlide dry dock system. If the boat you are trying to drive on your dock exceeds 3,600 pounds, air assist is required to keep your dock floating out of the water. The air assist will pump extra air below the dock to help raise your boat and keep it dry. Learn more about air assist.
